Cycling from Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca sits at the south tip of the island. The seafront promenade runs through town past Marina Rubicón to the Castillo de las Coloradas. From there, dirt tracks lead to the Papagayo beaches.
For a longer ride, head north past the salt pans of Janubio to Yaiza and the lava fields of Timanfaya. (The road up to Femés is closed to bikes.)
